Hospitality Industry Training (HIT)
Hospitality Industry Training (HIT), formerly known as St. Martin Center Culinary Lab (SMCCL), is designed to teach workforce kitchen skills to the unemployed, underemployed, resettled refugees and other individuals looking for jobs in commercial kitchens.
The 12-week program covers Front of House (FOH) skills such as customer service and serving and Back of House (BOH) skills including food preparation and handling. After graduating from the program, participants will be able to take a ServSafe Certification exam. After graduation, we work to place program participants into paid jobs in commercial kitchens in the area.
