Housing Services

Housing education is provided to those who wish to improve their current conditions through home ownership opportunities. Our program is certified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and our staff is trained by the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA).

This comprehensive program provides pre- and post-purchase counseling; fair housing and predatory lending information; lead paint education, awareness and assessment of dangers; much more. We also offer foreclosure prevention counseling sponsored in part by PNC Bank. For more information contact Karen Washburn at 452-6113 ext 223, or kwashburn@stmartincenter.org

Another component of the housing department is the HOME Investment Partnership Program, which provides funding up to $24,999 to first-time homebuyers interested in bringing a home to current building codes. To qualify for this program, the buyer and the home must fall into certain criteria. For more information, contact Veronica M. Hopkins at 452-6113 ext 207, or vhopkins@stmartincenter.org.
