Social Services

St. Martin Center provides a variety of emergency services to families and individuals. Those in need may receive emergency food through our in-house food pantry; vouchers for clothing items; assistance for rent, mortgage and utilities; assistance with life-sustaining prescriptions; transportation in the form of bus passes and gasoline vouchers; assistance with completing Penelec’s Customer Assistance Program application and guidance with creating and maintaining a budget.
Our social service department connects clients to Christmas gifts through our Shining Star Program, school supplies through our Stuff the Bus drive and much more. When appropriate, they can also provide referrals to other programs within St. Martin Center including Housing Education, or to another local agency.
How to Help:
There are many ways to help our social service department. Monetary donations are always appreciated as this can help us to purchase bus tokens or prescriptions. Contributing items toward events like Shining Stars and Stuff the Bus are greatly appreciated as well. Also, consider donating personal hygiene items (shampoo, razors, etc.), household cleaning products, household items (dishes, bedding, etc.) and clothing.
