Emergency Basic Needs

We understand that sometimes life's hurdles can make it challenging to make ends meet.  We offer services that help with a family or individual's most pressing needs:

  • Food Pantry

    - Open Monday - Friday from 9AM-12PM, 1PM-3PM
    - E 17th St entrance - door by the ramp has an awning and a doorbell
    - Bring a photo ID and answer basic questions regarding your household size and income

  • Rent, Security Deposit, Mortgage Assistance

    Please call 814-SHELTER (814-743-5837) for any requests for financial assistance for housing. (Due to increased demand for assistance and decreased availability of funds, St. Martin Center will prioritize our rent assistance to those who have not received help in the last 24 months.)

  • Referrals to other SMC programs or to another local agency

    - Other programs including credit/budget counseling, St. Martin Early Learning Center, etc.
    - Other local agencies who may be able to better assist you
