St. Martin Center is committed to providing compassionate, dignified
service to those in need. In order to better serve our clients and support the volunteers who
make our work possible, we are updating our food pantry hours. Beginning September 1st, the pantry will operate Monday through Thursday, and will no longer be open on Fridays.
This change comes after thoughtful consideration of the needs of both our clients and our Volunteers. Rising costs of transportation and everyday essentials have created new challenges for many families in our community. By consolidating pantry hours, St. Martin Center can ensure that clients make fewer trips while still receiving the same level of care and service. The new schedule also helps our dedicated volunteers—many of whom give
their time daily—by creating a more balanced, sustainable routine.
"Ourf ood pantry remains a vital resource for families in Erie,” said David González, Chief Executive Officer of St. Martin Center. “This adjustment allows us to continue meeting the needs of our community with the same level of compassion and efficiency, while also being mindful of the time and resources of our clients and volunteers.”
St. Martin Center remains fully committed to its mission of feeding the hungry, educating children, and supporting families on their path toward self-sufficiency. The updated schedule reflects that commitment, ensuring long-term stability and continued service for the community.
