  • Early Learning Center Director ($52K-$60K)

    Job Title:  Early Learning Center Director
    Reports to:  Chief Operating Officer
    Supervises:  Up to 35 Early Learning Center Employees
    FLSA:  Salaried, exempt
    Salary: $52,000-60,000, full benefits


    Qualifications:

    An Administrator will have obtained one of the following educational qualification levels and skills:

    1.       A master’s degree from an accredited College or University in the Human Services Field, Education, or Administration, preferred

    2.       A bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University in Early Childhood Education, or Elementary Education

    3.       Minimum of 5 years current supervisory experience

    4.       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    5.       Excellent computer and technology skills

    6.       Well organized, ability to multitask and meet changing and challenging demands

    7.       Grant writing experience, preferred

     

    Essential Functions:

    Administrative

    • Ensure a safe and educational environment for children ages 6 weeks through 13 years by administering the program and ensuring it meets all guidelines outlined by the State, Keystone STARS, funding sources, and all licensing requirements.  Must pass all required inspections
    • Supervises up to 35 employees, with a focus on increasing impact and developing employee leadership skills, and delegates tasks/decision making as needed to direct reports
    • Is responsible for fostering a positive work culture and will seek out innovative solutions to help foster a positive, inclusive work culture that embodies the mission of our organization
    • Is responsible for the coaching and mentoring of ELC staff and works with the assistant administrator to empower staff in their decision-making skills
    • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism when communicating with employees, families, agencies, and other stakeholders in meetings, news appearances, press conferences, and events
    • Will help support the mission of the agency, represent the agency in a positive light, and help steer the program as a local leader in early childhood learning Must have experience with technology and ability to continue to move the Center into the world of technology

    Programs

    • Works closely with St. Martin Center program directors to expand and utilize opportunities and services available to families of the ELC
    • Responsible for all financial aspects of the program, provides expert input into program opportunities, and/or budget efficiencies and is responsible for all timely grant spending and other program requirements
    • Facilitates and leads all meetings and plays a vital role in utilizing various committees and outside agencies to access additional resources as needed to support the operations of the Center
    • Oversees, manages, and maintains all areas pertaining to Keystone STARS, meets and adheres to all requirements to maintain STAR 4 status
    • Obtain and maintain the Director’s Credential

    HR/Financial

    • Attends all required trainings, seminars, and meetings which may require some evening and weekend work, including travel (with notice)
    • Responsible for day-to-day HR functions within the Center, payroll, all record keeping, and reporting, hiring, discipline, termination, and works with the COO on HR policies and procedures
    • Performs all other duties as assigned by the CEO, COO and CFO

    Requirements:

    • Must pass physical
    • Must obtain all required clearances and pass background checks
    • Must possess valid/current Pennsylvania Driver’s License and own transportation
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time throughout the day with intermittent periods of sitting, walking, and bending

  • Development Associate ($38,000/yr)

    Job Title:                     Development Associate
    Reports to:                  Director of Development
    Status:                         Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
    FLSA:                           Salaried, Exempt
    Compensation:           $38,000 + excellent benefit package (details below)

    Job Summary
    The Development Associate provides administrative support in all fundraising, marketing, communications, and public relations activities in accordance with established goals and plans and under the direction of the Director of Development.

    Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in communication or relevant field preferred
    • Must be able to multi-task, prioritizing deadlines
    • Must have strong attention to detail, strong writing/verbal/communication skills
    • Must have fundraising experience (preferably in grants, events, and donor relations)
    • Proficiency in Canva and social media channels, preferred
    • Valid driver’s license and own transportation required
    • Work occasional evenings or weekends (with notice)

    Essential Functions:

    • Development:
      • Assist department with the implementation of various aspects of fundraising including annual giving, donor relations, special events, and other items to assist with generating unrestricted dollars
      • Research and identify grant opportunities, write and/or assist with writing grant requests, research supportive data
      • Maintain donor database including gift entry, reports, letters/receipts ensuring timeliness and accuracy
      • Assist in identifying new corporate partners/sponsors and assist in cultivation plan
      • Work with Development Committee and/or other volunteer/fundraising committees as needed to meet goals
    • Communications/Marketing/Public Relations:
      • Maintain social media accounts, ensuring regular posting matches agency tone and answering inquiries appropriately and in a timely fashion
      • Maintain website, ensuring regular and timely updates and consistent information
      • Create/assist with creating promotional pieces as needed including annual impact report, appeals, brochures, mailings, flyers, marketing ads, radio/television pieces, email messaging, and other items as needed
      • Conduct agency tours as needed
      • Assist in tasks necessary for press conferences, open houses, and other events
      • Assist in coordinating media opportunities as directed
      • Represent the agency in public settings at meetings, press appearances, events, and other functions as needed
    • General:
      • Work comfortably across departments and with various groups including department heads, board members, volunteers, family, clients, vendors, and others
      • Maintain highest level of confidentiality while encountering agency and client information
      • Any other activities as requested

  • Family Support Case Manager ($43,000-$46,000)

    Job Title: Family Support Case Manager
    Reports to: Child Care Director
    Salary: $43,000-$46,000


    Qualifications:
    One of the following are required:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University in Social Work
    • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University in the Human Services Field and a minimum of one year of documented experience working with children and/or families at a social service agency

    Essential Functions:

    • Perform intake including; a tour of the facility, meeting the child’s teachers, and an explanation of program expectations.
    • Provide ongoing support to families through assisting with paperwork, making necessary referrals for outside agency services, and providing transportation to necessary appointments.
    • Serve as the liaison between ECOCY, SMC, FSC families, Mercyhurst Civic Institute, and the community.
    • Meet with the families in person at a minimum of once per month either in the home or at the Center.  
    • Complete the Caregiver Activity form on every family every month, per ECOCY.
    • Complete the Family Service Plan assessment at withdrawal, per Mercyhurst Civic Institute, and ECOCY.
    •  Meet all reporting requirements and deadlines including a monthly report on every enrolled child describing the child’s behavior, social interaction, attendance, parent’s progress, etc. to be turned in to ECOCY and Mercyhurst Civic Institute; updating Mean’s test forms on children; and quarterly reports to be turned in to Administration.
    • Immediately report troubling parental behavior to ECOCY and make ChildLine reports if necessary.
    • Adhere to ECOCY’s billing requirements including the tracking of quarterly units.
    • Meet with ECOCY Administration for supervision on a quarterly basis.
    • Meet with SMC Director as needed.
    • Attend IFSPT, IEP, Hi-Fi, and any/all other educational and behavioral meetings and/or trainings.
    • Review and update the work statement annually.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    St. Martin Early Learning Center, a Keystone STAR 4 facility, is seeking full-time teachers! If you are passionate about teaching little minds and want an environment where you are appreciated, this might be the position for you.
